Who Are We?
Anabi Oil is proud to be family owned and operated for more than 20 years. Sam Anabi was born and raised in Yonkers, New York and moved to California to train in the L.A. Sheriff's Academy. While at the academy, he opened his first gas station in 1991 in the City of Baldwin Park. He was employed by the La Verne Police Department where he met Rene and was married in 1995. Sam was injured in the line of duty and retired in 2001 to devote his full attention to growing his gasoline retailing business. Sam still holds an active duty badge with the La Verne and Glendora Police Reserves.
Our story begins in 1991 with one station in Baldwin Park, California. We have been working with independent retailers to provide the best fuel and highest level of service to communities throughout California. Over the years, the company has grown by buying and selling stations, converting bays into convenience stores, adding car washes, partnering with fast food brands, and building ground up new to industry locations. This growth has provided us experience from the perspective of a buyer, seller, lease dealer, open dealer, franchisee, owner, contract operator, and wholesale distributor . . . virtually all classes of trade within the gasoline retailing industry.

We have worked with and developed strong business relationships with bankers, brokers, contractors, c-store vendors, environmental compliance agencies, equipment manufacturers, major oil company suppliers, and thousands of customers. Anabi Oil continues to be a consistent top performer for Shell when it comes to image, customer service, and volume growth. As a result of our hard work and focus on the "Retailer Experience," Anabi Oil was offered a wholesale contract with Shell in 2010.
We sell and deliver gasoline and diesel fuel from Los Angeles to the San Francisco Bay area. We are proud to be associated with one of the most recognizable brands on the planet, Shell, and are committed to growing this brand with like minded operators. Our management team includes former Shell Oil Company Executives who know and understand "big oil" and how to grow fuel volume and increase retail business. The Anabi Oil management team has more than 70 years of industry experience. Our goal is simple: Invest, design, improve, communicate, track, expand and monetize everything.
